TE Connectivity launches power bolt high-voltage connector with new shielding design

TE Connectivity, a manufacturer of connectors and sensors, has introduced the new IPT-HD power bolt high-voltage connector.

TE’s IPT-HD power bolt high-voltage connector complies with ISO and LV standards. It offers a new shielding design, and provides low-contact resistance and thicker options for conductor cross-sections used in MCU, E-axle and E-motor applications for EVs operating in harsh environments. TE says the connector can be used in extreme temperatures (-40o C to +125o C) and high engine-level vibration conditions.

“Providing our customers with products that help their vehicles operate safely and efficiently in harsh environments continues to be top of mind for us at TE,” said Product Manager Kimmy Jin. “Our new IPT-HD power bolt high-voltage connector is a reliable solution for alternative-energy vehicles with its enhanced EMC performance, increased assembly efficiency and broader range use in applications.”

The IPT-HD power bolt series comes in 50 mm² and 70 mm² conductor cross-sections, with a 95 mm² option available soon. The connector series provides a separate, single wiring harness designed to increase assembly flexibility.
