Webinar today: Multiphysics modeling of fuel cells

Battery electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles have unique marketplaces. Electric vehicles that must minimize weight (e.g. heavy duty trucks and airplanes) consider fuel cells as a primary power source for electrification, as they reduce the significant battery weight associated with battery electric vehicles.

Engineers are continuing to develop new fuel cell designs for vehicles. These fuel cells must have greater efficiency to be competitive with other energy sources. The simulation of fuel cell designs requires including the multiple physics occurring within the fuel cell. High-fidelity simulations enable these engineers to assess designs for performance and the effects of dimensional changes.

Tune in to this webinar—presented by speakers Kyle Koppenhoefer and Luke Gritter from AltaSim Technologies and Phil Kinnane for COMSOL—to learn more about the multiphysics simulations of fuel cells. PEM fuel cells will be a primary focus of this presentation, and SOFC simulation will also be discussed.

The webinar, hosted by Charged on October 29, 2020, at 2:00pm EST, will include a live demonstration of the COMSOL Multiphysics software and a Q&A session.
