Rincon Power launches new 750-volt, 20-amp relay series

Rincon Power has announced a new addition to its line of sealed contactors, relays and switches. The new RER02 Series ultra-compact relay offers the ability to isolate high-voltage systems in a robust package.

The RER02 Series can carry 20 amps of continuous current for applications up to 750 VDC. It can also handle 80 A for up to 30 seconds, making it suitable for loads with momentary high inrush. Rincon says that the relay’s small form factor and high voltage rating make it a great choice for pre-charge circuits, which are essential for preventing contactor welding.

The RER02 is available with 12 V or 24 V coils, and its wide range of mounting configurations—including PCB, bottom-mount, stud assembly and stand-alone terminal assembly—enable it to be used as a drop-in replacement. The relay is designed for maximum installation flexibility—can be installed in any orientation, even upside-down.

According to Brian Munari, Rincon’s Business Development Manager, “The RER02 is perfect for pre-charge circuits and low-power loads on high-voltage systems and applications. There has been tremendous interest in a low-current, high-voltage solution that is compact, cost-competitive and built to last. The RER02 hits that sweet spot of value and performance.”
