How does Liberty Plugins compare in cost?
Liberty Plugins charges as little as $9 per month per EV charger—offering significant cost savings compared to Blink, ChargePoint, EV Connect, and other providers.
Who owns the hardware?
You do. We don’t lease or loan equipment—you own it outright.
How do I collect EV charging revenue?
Commercial accounts receive payouts via check or direct deposit on a monthly or quarterly basis. We tailor reporting and payment cycles to your needs.
We’ll help you customize pricing and access based on user type, time, date, charger power level, other chargers in your area, and more. Plus, we can assist in setting up policies, notifications, and penalties to keep users on track and maximize your investment.
What is Liberty Hydra™?
Hydra is a hardware solution for managing chargers that don’t have their own ability to connect to the internet. It’s great in situations where system owners have functional chargers in place but no way to control them. It’s also great for organizations that want more flexibility around the chargers they control, for instance, if they want to allow tenants to bring their own chargers.
What is the fee structure?
Liberty Plugins offers a transparent, predictable pricing model with no hidden fees:
- System owners pay $9/month per charger connected to our access platform.
- System owners pay $35/month per Hydra unit (covers 4G connectivity).
- Users pay for energy at an hourly ($/hr) or per-kWh ($/kWh) rate set by the owner.
- Users pay transaction fees when using a credit card.
- Users affiliated with a system owner’s organization (employees, residents, students, etc.) can reduce fees by using a preloaded wallet, minimizing transaction costs.
- No revenue sharing—you keep 100% of your earnings.
Are we locked into the Liberty Plugins platform?
No, you are not locked in.
How do drivers find the chargers?
- Publicly available chargers appear on popular charging apps like PlugShare and the Liberty Plugins app.
- You can also reserve chargers for private use (e.g., for employees, tenants, or fleet vehicles).
Are Liberty Plugins charging stations compatible with all EV models?
Yes. Liberty Plugins supports all Level 2 non-networked chargers and OCPP-compliant Level 2 & DC fast chargers, ensuring broad compatibility.
What types of reports are available to site owners and administrators?
Admins can access and download various reports via our web app, including:
- Billing & Monthly Invoicing
- Energy Usage
- EVSE Usage
- Custom reports (upon request)
My organization has multiple buildings or sites. Can we control access and manage users and chargers across those sites?
